Set-up your My eBay Account

In order to buy or sell on auction sites you must first become a registered member which is easy to do and is accomplished by completing a form located on the auction website.  The online form will ask for some basic contact information such as your name, mailing address, phone number, and email address.

Shortly after completing the form you will receive an email asking you to confirm your registration by replying to the message.  By sending the reply email you are also verifying that you are a real person with a valid email address.

Once registered, members can keep track of all their activities by accessing an account summary page. eBay has termed theirs My eBay.  From this screen members can review their buying and selling histories, save favorite searches, access feedback, set sign-in, notification, and check-out preferences, review their seller's account, and many other things.
